Browser fingerprint — uniqueness without tracking
See how identifiable your browser is — and how we hash it so it can’t track you.
What it detects
Your browser reveals many small traits — screen and font metrics, rendering quirks, language and platform hints — that together can form a “fingerprint” distinctive enough to recognise you without any cookie. This check estimates how unusual your combination of traits is.
Honest handling: we compute the fingerprint in your browser and only ever store a salted hash of it. We never keep the raw traits and never use the hash to follow you across sites — it exists only to estimate uniqueness for your score.
Why it matters
A highly unique fingerprint lets sites and trackers recognise you even behind a VPN and with cookies cleared — undermining the anonymity a VPN is meant to provide.
A common, unremarkable fingerprint is better for privacy: you blend into the crowd.
How to read your result
“Unique fingerprint” means your trait combination stood out; blending in is safer. Anti-fingerprinting browsers and modes that normalise these traits reduce your uniqueness.
Because we only store a salted hash, this measurement itself does not make you more trackable.

- No. Only a salted hash is stored, and only to estimate uniqueness. The raw traits never leave your browser in a reversible form.
- Can this fingerprint track me across websites?
- Not through us. We never share the hash or link it to your identity, and a salted hash cannot be reversed into your original traits.
- How do I reduce my fingerprint uniqueness?
- Use a browser with anti-fingerprinting protections (or its resist-fingerprinting mode), keep it updated, and avoid rare fonts, extensions or window sizes that make you stand out.
